Still widely underutilized, the mega landing is 90 degrees past the hyper, landing on the outside leg.  This means that unlike the previous 2 landing stances, which land mostly backward, mega lands facing more forward, into the momentum of the flip.

The most common example of this landing is the mis-termed “hyper aerial”.  Truly, this is a mega aerial, but the name is so old and so well ingrained that it will probably forever be a misnomer.  In the clip above, notice the rotation past hyper and corresponding foot switch, allowing swingthroughs into aerial and btwist tricks to be performed without disrupting the momentum line.
